Job Role
We are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Finance team during a busy delivery period. This is a fixed term contract from August to November.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Accounts Assistant will have responsibility for providing accounting and administrative support to the Finance team and will be responsible for the following activities
• Processing purchase orders and sales invoices
• Processing expenses in to Sage
• Reconciling purchase ledger statements
• Making payments to contractors
• Banking cheques
• Counting out and banking cash
• Reviewing receipts
• Issuing cash advances
• Chasing purchase order information
• Dealing with supplier/internal queries
• Preparing VAT returns
• General filing and administration
Skills and experience

We are looking for a self motivated individual who can pick things up quickly in a demanding environment and work autonomously. You will be a self starter with experience in using Microsoft Office, have strong excel skills and Sage 200 as well as having demonstrable experience in a similar role.

Other information
• This role requires some travel and so a driving licence is required
