Our client is a legal firm with an outstanding reputation, serving clients throughout the UK and further afield.
KEY TASKS:
* To provide efficient and effective support to partner/fee earner to enable
him/her to achieve their objectives and goals.
* To plan workloads and use anticipation and initiative.
* To keep ongoing situations under surveillance, remind partner of dates,
appointments and any action needed.
* To screen partner/fee earner, taking as many calls and enquiries as possible
without disturbing him/her.
* To ensure smooth running of office environment.
* To be cost and profit orientated, help with drafting bills and debt collection
and reviewing work in progress.
* To receive clients and make calls with courtesy, acting as liaison between
partner and clients.
* To be innovative in systems, methods and procedures and use of office
technology.
KEY DUTIES:
* To word process legal documents.
* To deal with correspondence – answering routine letters, drafting replies to
other letters, audio typing.
* To take telephone calls, answering queries, making appointments – with as
little reference to partner/fee earner as possible.
* To filing – directing and supervising juniors, overview of system as whole,
providing partner/fee earner with appropriate files for meeting and
appointments.
* To keep diaries up-to-date.
* To report to the Practice Director/HR Manager for alternative duties in the
event of absence of work by appointed partner/fee earner.
* To carry out any other reasonable tasks within the office environment.
Experience in all main areas of Law, broadly Personal Injury, Private Client, Corporate & Commercial Property work essential.
