A first rate CIMA Qualified Accountant with at least three years experience gained at a Senior Level with a strong theoretical and professional background is required to take on this 3-4 month interim FC position.

Main duties and capabilities:

As a key influential member of the Spennymoor Senior Management Team you will be expected to make a major contribution to the formulation, implementation and monitoring of Group Operations Policy and decision-making.

To establish, measure, analyse and report on performance and plans of Spennymoor Business Units with agreed format and timescales to achieve business objectives and KPI’s.

Lead and Co-ordinate the budget planning process.

Production of monthly management accounts.

To monitor, measure, analyse and report on quarterly forecasts.

Capital expenditure control.

Implementation and monitoring of the Group transfer pricing policy.

Participate in the Company performance review / appraisal scheme and in training and development opportunities as appropriate.

Professional experience required:

•German knowledge and Pan European experience would be a distinct advantage .
•The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience within Finance including an in-depth knowledge of Investment analysis, Finance and Management Information Systems (particularly SAP) plus an understanding of the strategic issues in Manufacturing and Finance.
•You must possess the ability to provide sound financial information, support and liaison to Operational Management.
•Must possess a wide range of experience within a similar department environment, and is able to deal with technical and people related issues at all levels.
•Capable of making sound commercial business decisions, based upon the needs of the business, at a high level
•A pro-active “self starter”, able to achieve business objectives, by effective planning, control and management, of groups of employees with a diverse range of skills and experience.
•Highly motivated to develop his/her team of reporting staff and line employees and processes to optimum performance.
•An individual with the confidence and skills to motivate others towards achievement, while gaining the confidence and respect of management and employees at all levels.
•Additional skills in company specific software (SAP), including the ability to review SAP processes and implement developments according to the changing business requirements.
