Salary: Negotiable with experience
The financial administrator is responsible for all aspects of financial and management accounts and will have a great deal of contact with the clients – particularly with invoicing and credit control
Summary of Duties
• Production and analysis of monthly management accounts – P&L & Balance Sheet using Sage Line 50.
• Generation of sales invoices
• Input of all service charges to be billed to clients
• Checking, posting and obtaining authorisation of all purchase invoices
• Presenting cheque batches for payment
• VAT return quarterly
• Petty cash and reconciliation
• Banking at local bank and reconciliation of bank account
• Debt Chasing and notification to Manager of potential problems
• Production of weekly management reports and assistance with Executive Report
• Cashflow analysis
• Filing and archive of financial information
• Preparation of Budget for year and monitoring during year
• Capital Expenditure proposals
• General accounting and administration work as required
Being part of a small team, flexibility is required. Other duties may from time to time be requested and may include emergency cover of the switchboard or other non-finance related tasks.
Personal and professional attributes
• Experience of Sage computerised accounts
• Working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets
• Willingness and aptitude to learn in house software
• Confident and able to deal with senior business people in demanding situations
• Experience in production of management accounts
• Team player with excellent communication skills
