An excellent opportunity has arisen for an HR Manager to work for this large organisation. You will be responsible for the provision of specialist human resource advice and guidance to line managers and directors and be expected to enhance corporate performance and ensure alignment and consistency of HR matters across the company.
Your duties will be as follows:
• Responsible for the recruitment and retention of staff, ensuring staff pay and reward scheme is in keeping with market expectations
• Contributing to, and delivering, a people plan and management development programme
• Advising on performance management and developing the reward strategy in line with the needs of the business
• Looking at absence management, analysing figures and discussing with management the findings and any necessary follow up
• Acting as adviser at disciplinary, capability and other hearings, including appeals
• Responsible for industrial relations and union negotiations
• Ensuring that HR policy and activity supports the business needs
• Ensuring effective performance of the HR function and co-operation with other areas to achieve the overall business objectives
• Contributing as a member of the management team to operational and strategic issues.
You will ideally be CIPD qualified, have HR Generalist experience and must have previously worked in manufacturing, having had trade union experience.
