An exciting opportunity has arisen working for a dynamic, forward thinking organisation based in Gateshead.
Supervising a large team, the main duties & responsibilities of the role, will involve:
- Produce monthly management accounts with supporting variance analysis
- Produce overhead analysis
- Ensure all balance sheets are fully reconciled on a monthly basis.
- Prepare forecasts on a quarterly basis, with supporting commentaries.
- Produce weekly reports ensuring variances have been identified and suitable commentary provided.
- Maintain all spreadsheets in a formal manor ensuring all basic controls are not affected when changes are required (E.g. additional sites, changing categories).
- Identify and address training requirements for all staff within in the department.
- Ensure statutory analysis/information is prepared monthly to support the management accounts in preparation for statutory reporting requirements.
- Develop fixed asset register and maintain for all operating companies with a view of allocating assets as part of the normal accounting process and producing depreciation journals on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile all inter company accounts on a monthly basis.
- Review VAT procedures ensuring the company is compliant at all times.
- Experience of supervising staff is essential.
