Job Description

KCR Solutions are currently recruiting for an Accounts and Payroll Manager for a company based in the Washington area. Salary would be £22,000-25,000 pensions and 25 days holiday plus bank holiday.

This is an exciting role to join a busy finance team.


To administer weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll and to manage associated administration and legislative compliance tasks
To provide monthly balance sheets and accounts
Reconciliation of ID/Sage/Xero/bank accounts

Administration of weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll
Liaison with Consultants/Clients against payroll deadlines
Completing of holiday spreadsheets
Input all timesheet hours to Sage
Ensure that all job necessary forms bank /tax details have been submitted by the workers
Chase up all outstanding paperwork required for payroll
Manage all Attachment of Earnings, P45s, P60, SSP, SMP, SPP
Ensuring payroll records and information are filed as per business and legislative
Managing BACS payroll system and liaison with the bank
Completing information requests sent by various government agencies
Update all spreadsheets relating to pay/holidays and also invoicing
Sage accounts including
Bank Reconciliation
Financial Accounting
Credit control
Producing weekly and monthly MI
Raising of all invoices using Sage Accounts
Work with ID companies
Providing a friendly and professional service to temporary employees and helping with the resolution of any payroll issues or queries that they may have
Resolve any payroll issues in a friendly, timely manner
Work within ISO 9001 guidelines
Undergo special projects as required
Shared duties within the office, Answering telephone
General Housekeeping
Basic administration tasks as required by the team and department

Minimum of 2 years of previous accounts and payroll experience
AAT level 3 or equivalent
Sage Accounts/Payroll line 50
Good team player
Ideally additional experience of broader finance
Ideally experience working in a business to business or customer service environment
Pro active attitude to rapidly changing situations
Excellent communication skills
Excellent self-discipline
Self-motivated and organized
Very strong I.T. skills & particularly with Sage Payroll, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft
