Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an interim Accounts Assistant to work for this successful company for 9-12 months in Gateshead.  Your duties will be as follows:

  1. Creating sales invoices on Excel and entering on to Sage
  2. Matching all monies received with relevant invoices and entering on to Sage
  3. Dealing with commissions from sales invoices
  4. Responsible for credit control and chasing outstanding debt
  5. Printing aged debtor’s list out weekly
  6. Dealing with account queries and sending statements weekly
  7. Entering all supplier invoices onto Sage and ensuring all payments to suppliers are made within terms
  8. Inputting all payments made via debit card on to Sage
  9. Completing weekly settlement statements and entering onto banking system
  10. Responsible for petty cash and VAT returns
  11. Checking the bank daily via the online banking system and completing monthly bank reconciliation
  12. Responsible for HR matters in close connection with outsourced HR company

Salary – £19,000 to £22,000
