Job Description

KCR Solutions are currently seeking for an Accounts Clerk on an 18 month contract for our excellent client in Sunderland. Salary is £18,000.

Responsibilities

  1. Working within the Accounts Payable team, invoice/credit processing
  2. Covering expense processing
  3. Reconciling supplier statements, with priority on top 25 in line with departmental KPI’s
  4. Provide a reliable, accurate and timely service in response to all supplier and invoice enquiries
  5. Deliver outstanding levels of customer service for all operating companies and suppliers
  6. Proactively reduce the quantity of price and quantity variances, query and investigate any variances with purchasing, stores and suppliers
  7. Return to vendor any invoices omitting purchase order
  8. Deliver the correct application of general ledger codes, price matching and quantity details to PO/support documentation
  9. Provide cover for all colleagues/any other adhoc finance duties

Person Specification

  1. A strong understanding of Accounts Payable, preferably with a number of years hands on experience
  2. Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills
  3. An eye for accuracy to ensure a quality output every time both financially and verbally
  4. Have the ability to work independently and proactively , identifying where improvements can be made in all aspects of Accounts Payable and the reporting thereof
