Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Compliance and Arrears Officer to work for our successful client in Newcastle. Your duties will be as follows:

  1. Ensuring compliance with credit risk procedures
  2. Supporting implementation of the credit policy and collection of arrears
  3. Reviewing implementation of credit policy through sampling of lending documentation
  4. Monitoring compliance with lending limits and checking changes to country risk assessment
  5. Leading on monthly reporting of arrears and attending meetings to discuss
  6. Supporting lending team managers in resolution of arrears’ cases
  7. Reviewing implementation of the anti-money laundering policy
  8. Ensuring that appropriate documentation exists to support all anti-money-laundering procedures
  9. Ensuring procedures are being followed and the correct information gathered and recorded
  10. Preparing monthly arrears report and attending arrears meeting to discuss with Finance Director and other senior managers
  11. Reviewing daily exception reports

You will be methodical and analytical and have excellent communication skills. You will be numerate and able to understand and interpret financial reports and information. Experience of credit control/debt collection in an organisation working internationally would be ideal.
