Job Description

KCR Solutions are currently looking to recruit a Credit Manager for our fantastic client in Newcastle.

Salary is competitive


  1. Providing effective credit control support to all business sectors, including internal issue escalations and reporting
  2. Developing, implementing & maintaining current credit control policies and procedures
  3. Ensuring that agreed KPI’s are achieved and conducting monthly performance reviews within the team and with business representatives
  4. Management of customer query resolution, working with the business to resolve queries in a timely manner
  5. Reviewing and maintaining allocation of receipts
  6. Ensuring timely reconciliation of customer accounts
  7. Utilising and reviewing external credit checking facilities effectively
  8. Establishing and monitoring periodic credit collection targets
  9. Liaising effectively with legal advisors & insolvency practitioners as and when necessary
  10. Organising and chairing meetings with departmental and senior management teams
  11. Continuously improving departmental systems and procedures in conjunction with our IT department to ensure the credit control function operates effectively
  12. Continually monitoring customer base identifying changes in risk
  13. Effectively managing difficult accounts/customers and acting as a point of escalation
  14. Providing support and training to all staff as and when required

Requirements and skills

  1. Able to demonstrate effective people management skills within a large, well established team
  2. Ability effectively and persuasively communicate with employees at all levels of the business
  3. Capable of building positive relations with our external and internal customers
  4. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Significant experience of Credit Control and A/R functions within large companies
  6. Self-starter, who is capable of working under limited supervision
  7. Able to demonstrate an understanding of procedures related to legal action and insolvency
  8. Experience of automation software would be an advantage
  9. Effective reporting skills
  10. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management or an equivalent professional body is desirable but not essential
