An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Payroll Assistant to work for this successful company in Ashington

The successful candidate will earn £18,000 – £22,000 depending on experience


  1. Monthly payroll
  2. PAYE monthly reconciliation
  3. Produce monthly personal pension schedule and payments
  4. Balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
  5. Various month-end related tasks
  6. Process and submit monthly VAT return
  7. Purchase ledger invoice processing
  8. Produce multiple bank reconciliations in GBP, EUR and USD
  9. Post daily bank payments and receipts in GBP, EUR and USD
  10. Preparing UK & International payments for authorisation
  11. Preparing BACS payment runs daily or weekly
  12. Credit Control
  13. Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve account queries
  14. Supplier statement reconciliation
  15. Ad hoc duties


  1. Previous payroll experience is essential
  2. Relevant accounts experience within a similar role
  3. Excellent time management skills
  4. Trustworthy and honest
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Work effectively as part of a team
  7. Good communication skills, both written and verbal
