KCR Solutions are currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to work for our excellent client in Newcastle.

Salary £20,000 to £22,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities

  1. Bank reconciliations
  2. Supplier statement reconciliations
  3. Purchase ledger invoice processing
  4. Preparation of applications for payment and invoice to customers
  5. Basic general ledger postings (simple journals etc.)
  6. Support to purchasing manager with admin tasks
  7. Booking transport/courier deliveries
  8. Allocation of labour hours to projects from timesheets
  9. Processing stock requisitions and recording stock issued out
  10. Ad-hoc duties as required

Skills required

  1. Basic knowledge of general ledger (P&L, balance sheet nominals)
  2. Through knowledge of purchase ledger processes
  3. Good telephone manners
  4. Resilient
  5. Well organised, able to work unsupervised when required
  6. Ability to analyse data (e.g. labour hours) and create summary reports (e.g. pivot table)
  7. Contracting/manufacturing background would be an advantage
  8. Knowledge of Sage – preferably Sage 50
  9. Good Excel skills
