Job Description

KCR Solutions has an excellent opportunity to work in a varied accounts role alongside the Finance Director. The role will provide support to the FD in the management of company finances and the production of monthly management accounts. This position would best suit an individual who has an established accounting career and who would enjoy working in a key role within a small business environment.


  1. Management of purchase ledger from purchase order to supplier payments
  2. Process and post purchase invoices and reconcile statements
  3. Resolve queries, run and reconcile reports and close down purchase ledger
  4. Produce and reconcile monthly supplier payments lists, compile BACS files
  5. Sales ledger
  6. Prepare and submit VAT returns
  7. Download and reconcile bank statements, post bank transactions
  8. Maintain cashbook, banking records and schedules, petty cash
  9. Assist in the management of sales ledger accounts, run and reconcile reports
  10. Closedown of accounts at month end and production of reports
  11. Identify and post accruals/prepayments
  12. Process payroll, supervise timesheet data input, maintain records
  13. Compile and submit payments to HMRC
  14. Assist in the analysis of profit margins and management of overheads
  15. Provide administrative support to the HR function

Skills & Attributes

  1. Recognised accountancy qualification or degree educated
  2. Experience in a finance/accounting environment
  3. Highly numerate/mathematically competent
  4. Strong Microsoft excel skills
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  7. Diligent
  8. Organisational and time management skills
  9. Be able to work to deadlines
  10. Problem solving and continuous improvement in procedures and processes
  11. Reliable

Experience of Sage Line 5O or Sage is essential
