KCR Solutions are currently seeking a Financial Controller to work for our client in Newcastle.

Salary £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience


  1. Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting reconciliations
  2. Cashflow management
  3. Reconciliation of monthly contract costs with accounts costs
  4. Bank reconciliations
  5. Invoice discounting – managing facility
  6. VAT returns
  7. Preparation of applications and invoices to customers for ongoing contracts
  8. Making payments to suppliers and subcontractors
  9. Preparation of the year end draft accounts (to include accruals, prepayments, FAR, HP, other debtors, VAT & Directors Loan account and intercompany)
  10. Assisting auditors when appropriate during year-end audit
  11. Monthly payroll and returns to HMRC
  12. Wages journals
  13. Monthly timesheet checks
  14. CIS returns/submission
  15. PAYE/NI reconciliation
  16. Annual returns to companies house
  17. Management of the company auto enrolled pension scheme
  18. Manage petty cash

Skills required

  1. Knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage 50 Payroll essential.
  2. Knowledge of Eque2 Contract Costing desirable. (Sage based product).
