Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Outsourcing Senior to work for this successful company in Newcastle.  You will earn between £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience and your duties will be as follows:

  1. Responsible for preparation of management accounts within deadlines and budgets set
  2. Liaising with the team about clients as and when appropriate
  3. Drafting professional correspondence which is suitable for submission to a client without significant review points
  4. Ensuring client processes and permanent files are kept up to date
  5. Ensuring performance measures are acted upon on an on-going basis (e.g. chargeable time, utilisation, expected fee income levels)
  6. Regular and proactive participation in outsourcing team meetings
  7. Accurate and timely preparation of (often complex/bespoke) management accounts and other reporting
  8. Preparation of VAT returns, EC Sales lists and Intrastat returns
  9. Training clients in use of their accounts systems
  10. Working in accordance with the defined systems and procedures
  11. Carrying out ad-hoc assignments with assistance (usually solving clients accounting system issues)
  12. Analytically reviewing results and analysing KPIs
  13. Requesting appropriate funding from parent company to cover expected outgoings of the subsidiary/branch on a timely basis
  14. Recognising issues with European implications and acting accordingly (e.g. VAT, taxation, foreign currency)
  15. Preparing an audit file which could be submitted to the client’s auditors
  16. Accurately compiling information for P11D preparation by the tax department

Person Spec:

  1. Good compliance skills with limited supervision
  2. Effective use of IT including Excel, accounts packages, Outlook
  3. Maintaining high professional standards of conduct and practice
  4. Applying knowledge industry, markets and core client base and highlighting potential business opportunities to the relevant Outsourcing Manager
  5. Being able to organise and manage time efficiently and effectively
  6. Being aware of relevant financial targets and constraints and contributing to achieving these, keeping the relevant Outsourcing Manager informed of progress
  7. Working closely with junior members to ensure their continual development
  8. Adhering to client reporting deadlines in an efficient and timely manner
