Job Description

KCR Solutions are currently looking to recruit a Payroll Clerk for an excellent client based in Newcastle. Salary is between £18,000 and £20,000 depending on experience


  1. Input and check all payroll information with accordance to individual client procedures and SLA
  2. Payroll reconciliation, reports and journals
  3. An awareness of statutory and contractual obligations
  4. CIS returns & logging these online
  5. Calculating tax and NI deductions
  6. Processing RTI
  7. Calculating & processing overtime, expenses, sickness, holidays, SMP and SPP
  8. Issuing P45s
  9. Knowledge of employment allowance
  10. Processing year end
  11. Ensure payrolls are completed in accordance with bureau procedures and, can complete and verify payrolls to the specific deadlines
  12. Complete day to day processes such as open/close payrolls, processing, liability and BACS payments, running reports and filing payroll information


  1. Previous experience of processing a high volume of payroll
  2. Good understanding of corresponding with HMRC
  3. Knowledge of pensions, auto-enrolment
  4. Sage 50
